A Restoration Note
In 2016 the Marini family closed the building for the first time in its history. Together with the Soprintendenza Speciale di Roma and a team of seven restorers trained in Liberty-era plasterwork, they spent twenty-two months returning twenty-six of the property's twenty-seven rooms to a state the original craftsmen would have recognised.
Fourteen rooms retain original Coppedè-era frescoes in their plaster — fragments of which had been painted over during the 1970s and which the team spent the better part of a year uncovering, lime by lime. The remaining rooms were finished in a custom palette of mineral pigments mixed to match the originals, sampled from a single north-facing wall in the stairwell.
Murano glass, sourced from a single furnace on Murano's fondamenta, lights every room. The hand-laid parquet — alternating walnut and cherry in a traditional herringbone — was laid by a two-person workshop from Civita Castellana over the course of fourteen months.

Yes — four Classic and Family pairings across the first and second floors interconnect through private internal doors. Rooms N°17 and N°18 are the most requested, looking out onto the courtyard. The concierge will hold both keys on a single reservation.
Stays of four nights or more booked directly with the hotel (rather than through an online travel agency) receive a complimentary room upgrade at check-in, subject to availability, and a 10% reduction on the room rate from the fifth night onward. The average direct-booking guest stays 3.4 nights.
Yes — two ground-floor Classic rooms, N°04 and N°05, are step-free with widened doorframes, a roll-in shower, and grab rails at the basin and bath. Both open onto the courtyard garden. The ground floor is fully accessible; the upper floors are served by a period elevator installed during the 2018 restoration.
Well-behaved dogs up to 12 kg are welcome in two of our ground-floor rooms with a €35 nightly cleaning fee. Late check-in after 23:00 is routine — the night porter will have your key, your preferred Aperitivo, and a paper map of the quarter on the writing desk. Laundry returned same-day. E-bikes and a small Tesla transfer service available on request. There is no spa, no pool, and no fitness centre — the concierge can direct you to a partner Pilates studio two streets away.
